Who We Are

The Jewish Youth Climate Movement (JYCM) was founded by Hazon in 2019. We are dedicated to mitigating climate change by empowering young people, mobilizing our communities and taking action. JYCM believes in using Jewish values as a motivation to create a more equitable and sustainable world for all.

We welcome people of all identities to join us in our movement. All 7th-12th graders in the United States are eligible to apply for the National Leadership Board. We especially encourage Jews of Color, trans Jews, disabled Jews, poor and working class Jews, Mizrahi Jews, and Sephardi Jews to apply.

Call for Applicants

We are looking for youth to join our National Leadership Board for the 2021-2022 calendar year!

Over the past year, we have built a robust movement, with 23 national leadership board members around the country (8th-12th grade), 18 Kvutzot (local chapters) developed, two successful campaigns, and many many public-facing programs, workshops and presentations. We have built a strong social media following, and are getting ready for our first in-person leadership retreat happening this August.

As our first round of seniors graduate from the leadership board this year, we are excited to bring on new leadership board members. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a National Leadership Board member, we encourage you to fill out this application.

The application deadline is May 7th at 11:59pm in your respective timezone.
